Inoue Haruka participated in NMB48's 9th generation audition in 2022 but failed to pass. She then auditioned for the "Morning Musume. 25th Anniversary Audition ~Asu wo Tsukuru no wa Kimi~", and on May 23, 2023, she was announced to have passed the final round, becoming a member of Morning Musume.
