Dithyrambos is the second studio album released by meg. This is her first and only album to be released through her own indies label SHAMPOO NINE RECORDS. It was released in two different versions. The limited edition comes in special packaging with a postcard book, a sticker and a photobooklet. The regular edition was released about three months later and is just the CD. This release marks the first time MEG worked with future producer Nakata Yasutaka. The album reached #291 on the Oricon weekly charts and charted for a week, selling 755 copies. This is her lowest charting and selling album.
