Information
Super performance unit of seven members, of both boys and girls. Debuted with single BLOOD on FIRE released in 2005.09.14. In late 2005, AAA won 'Best New Artist' in the famed Japan Record Award. For the 1st anniversary on 2006.09.13, the group performed a live at Nippon Budokan, the most prestigious venue in Japan, mobilizing 10,000 fans.
Along with being a singer and dancer, each member are expanding their fields in a new stage: TV hosts, modeling, and acting in Hollywood movies, TV dramas, and theatrical plays. Uno Misako appeared in Hollywood film "THE GRUDGE 2", for example. Nishijima Takahiro played the lead role in Japanese film "AINO MUKIDASHI" (directed by Shion Sono) released in 2008 and in 2009 was the lead role along with Fukuda Saki in a dorama named Ghost Friends. Ito Chiaki played the lead role Hagumi Hanamoto in Taiwan drama "HONEY AND CLOVER." And in 2009, Urata Naoya went solo with an album entitled TURN OVER.
On September 9th, to celebrate the 2nd anniversary, AAA was able to put out another live at Nippon Budokan. The show was a success, selling out the box office.
2008 began with a new single, MIRAGE. It debuted at number one on the Oricon charts and sold around 25,000 copies its first week on sale. That makes AAA’s highest charting single but it also makes it one of the lowest number one debuts ever.
