Butterfly Effect is the first studio album released by Kurosaki Maon. Prior to this Kurosaki released two anime concept albums: H.O.T.D. (2010) and Goshiki Uta -Immortal Lovers- (2011). The record was released in two versions, a limited CD+DVD edition, and a regular CD Only edition. The limited edition includes: a DVD which features the promotional video of the song "VANISHING POINT" as well as footage from Kurosaki's international debut at Anime Expo 2011, a sleeve case, a 24 page photobook, and a card with hand written comment. "VANISHING POINT" was used as theme song for the online video game LEGEND of CHUSEN 2 and "SCARS" was used as ending theme for the OVA HELLSING IX. The album reached #43 on the weekly Oricon chart, and stayed on the chart for a total of two weeks.
