"X-encounter" is the sixth single released by Kurosaki Maon. It was released in three versions: a limited CD+Blu-ray edition, a limited CD+DVD edition, and a regular CD edition. The title track was used as the opening theme for the anime Tokyo Ravens. The single reached #12 on the Oricon weekly charts, and charted for 13 weeks, selling 16,954 copies. This is her best selling single to date.
