"Swallowtail Butterfly ~Ai no Uta~" is YEN TOWN BAND's first and only single. YEN TOWN BAND was a special band created as part of the plot of the hit movie Swallowtail Butterfly, which Chara starred in. This song is the theme song of the movie. This single reached #1 on Oricon charts and charted for 25 weeks. This is currently Chara's only #1 single. Since the single sold 809,580 copies in 1996 it became the #26 single for the year. In total, the single sold 878,150 copies. Since this single's success, other artists such as Tsuji Ayano, Koda Kumi and MY LITTLE LOVER have covered the song.
