SGO48 (Saigon48) was a Vietnamese idol group produced by Akimoto Yasushi, located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The formation of the group was first announced on June 21, 2018 via AKB48's twitter. Auditions for the group were held since July 2018, receiving 7,627 applications. Out of 120 candidates at the final audition, 29 passed. The 29 first generation members were revealed on November 17, 2018. On December 5, 2021, it was announced that the group would disband on the 22nd of the month.
