SWEET BLACK is the first mini-album released by Goto Maki, and her debut album released with rhythm zone. This is the final release in the SWEET BLACK Project series. The series is a cross-media collaboration between the radio station J-WAVE, record label avex trax, and social media site mixi. Goto chose the name and the logo for the project herself, which is meant to show both the "postive and negative" side of life that women today go through. The album reached #26 on the weekly Oricon chart, and stayed on the chart for a total of three weeks. This is Goto's lowest charting album.
