Profile

Information

Chiba Saeko was born on August 26, 1977 in Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture. When she was a little girl, Chiba dreamed of becoming a member of the famous all girls theatre troupe Takarazuka Kagekidan and trained in ballet. However, she gave up on the dream when she failed an examination to enter Takarazuka High School when she was a third year student in high school. Instead, she became a fourth generation member of the theatre troupe Minami Aoyama Shoujo Kagekidan in 1994. She quickly began to act in various plays, commercials and even in the video game called Omakase! Savers with the group FEEL. She graduated from Minami Aoyama Shoujo Kagekidan in 1996.

In 1999, Chiba Saeko became a seiyuu after being casted as the main character Haruno Kotori in the video game Kita e.. She also participated in the game's seiyuu group Four Seasons, which released two singles. That same year, she released her first single "Koi no Kiseki". which was produced by Kajiura Yuki and used as the theme song for the Playstation game Meguri Aishite.

Two years later in 2001, Chiba gained her first leading role as the character Kanzaki Meirin in the anime Dr. Rin ni Kiite Mite!. That same year, she opened the fanclub S.C.CLUB wa Pigoraland. The fanclub lasted for five years until it closed up in 2006. She formed unit tiaraway with fellow Minami Aoyama Shoujo Kagekidan member Nanri Yuuka and released three singles and one album from 2003 to 2005.

In 2007, Chiba Saeko married. Then four years later, she gave birth a daughter.
