She was originally part of m-flo, consisting of Verbal, Taku, and herself. The group formed in 1999 and quickly entered the Oricon Top 10 with their debut single the tripod e.p. m-flo's popularity increased until LISA decided to leave in 2002 to pursue a solo career. LISA's m-flo fanbase, however, decreased after leaving the group. LISA has collaborated with many artists since leaving m-flo, such as Koda Kumi, Heartsdales, and JHETT aka YAKKO for AQUARIUS. Her style still remains R & B, but occasionally will drift more toward J-Pop.
