Summary
Note: While the show was aired after Murakami Megumi left C-ute, the episode was filmed previously in August, and thus Megumi still appears in this episode.
Megumi and Erika are racing against each other with a goal of finding and identifying a target foreigner. The girls are each given an envelope containing their secret instructions. Within is a map that the girls will use to get to their location. Once there, they use three hints to help them identify which one of a number of foreigners is the person they are searching for. When they identify that person, they are to express the "charm of C-ute" to him or her. The time limit for this task is one hour.
Megumi starts off by asking people for directions. With their help, she quickly finds her location with 40 minutes to spare. Erika, on the other hand, attempts to figure out the map by herself and has 35 minutes left by the time she finds her location.
Megumi's location is Le Pommier, a French patisserie. Inside, she has to determine her target out of three Frenchmen. Her hints are: 1) a picture of three stars (to represent the former patisserie, Mitsuboshi, "Three Stars," owned by the target), 2) France's flag (to determine that her target is French), and 3) madeline cookies (the target's last name is Madelaine). Megumi quickly runs into communication trouble with the men as she can't understand French (though she does try English at one point).
Erika's location is Party. Inside, she has to determine her target out of two men and a women. Her hints are: 1) Finland's flag (the target is Finnish), 2) a 9-word Japanese-Finnish vocabulary card (to help her ask questions), and 3) an ice hockey puck (the target's hobby is ice hockey). Pulling out the first hint, Erika also runs into communication difficulties, but by using her second hint, she is able to narrow down that only two of the people are from Finland.
