Screenings

First Screening

A total of 48,000 people entered the competition by video entry, and 927 of them passed the first screening (2% acceptance rate).[6]

Second Screening

The second screening, held in Tokyo and Osaka over a total of six days, was a face-to-face screening with producers. The essential task for the second screening was "dance". The song to perform to was selected to be "Can You See The Light" by ØMI. For the first half of the song, the contestants had to perform a given choreography, and in the second half, they had to come up with their own original choreography.

In addition, the contestants were judged on either "vocals" or "rap" or both as an optional task. The songs for the vocal judging were selected to be "First Love" by Utada Hikaru and "Tsutsumi Komu You ni..." by MISIA, while the song for the rap judging was selected to be "Bijin" by CHANMINA.

Ultimately, 30 contestants were chosen to move to the third screening.

Third Screening

From January to April 2022, there will be a training camp including the third screening, and in May, the final screening will be held at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo.
