"Mugen Kigen" is the ninth single released by misono, and her first to not contain the B-side song's instrumental. It is the third in four singles, called the Rock Singles Project, which are rock themed releases produced by Japanese rock acts. This one was produced by Fujii Yoshiyuki of onso9line. This was released in two different versions: a CD only edition and a CD+DVD edition that comes with the title song's PV along with a comment video and TV spots. This is misono's overall lowest ranking single, reaching #32 on the Oricon weekly charts and charting for two weeks, selling 3,002 copies.
