"MY FRIEND" is ZARD's seventeenth single. The title track was used as the fourth ending theme for the TV Asahi anime SLAM DUNK. The single reached #1 on the weekly Oricon charts, charted for twenty-one weeks and sold 1,000,620 units, becoming the #19 single of 1996.
