"Roppongi Shinjuu" is a the 25th single recorded by Ann Lewis, and her third composed by the Japanese rock duo NOBODY. The initial printing was first released in October with a limited cover, and a regular edition was released in November. It was used as the commercial theme for Warrika Highball CAN. "Roppongi Shinjuu" was a critical hit for Lewis, and came at a big time in her career and in her personal relationship with Kikkawa Koji.[1] In 1986, a remix version of the song was released as a vinyl single. The original single was reissued on a CD in 1993, featuring instrumental version of both tracks.
The single reached #12 on the weekly Oricon chart, and became the #41 best selling single of 1985, selling 295,640 copies. The remix single ranked in at #24 on the weekly chart and charted for eight weeks, selling 36,550 copies. The song also reached #16 on the TBS television series The Best Ten.
