the WORLD Ruler is the fourth album released by Nightmare. It is their first album to be released through VAP, and unlike previous albums the WORLD Ruler only had one single released for it. This was released in three different versions: a limited CD+Photobook edition, a limited CD+DVD edition, and a regular CD only edition. The CD+DVD edition came with a DVD of the PV for track #9 "Gianizm Shichi" and TV spots for their eleventh single "the WORLD / Alumina". The first presses of the CD only edition grants a MADHOUSE illustrated slipcase cover and one randomly chosen out of a possible six trading cards. The album reached #6 on the Oricon charts, where it charted for eight weeks.
