Once upon a time in the pillows is the pillows's fourth best album as a 20th anniversary album. It features a new song, "FLAG STAR". All songs were written and composed by the bands lead singer and guitarist Yamanaka Sawao. It was released the same day as their other best album Rock stock & too smoking the pillows. The album reached #14 on Oricon charts, and charted for 5 weeks.
