"Koi Hitoyo" is the sixth single released by Kudo Shizuka. The title track was used as a commercial theme song for the Hakone Open-Air Museum. It also would be performed at Kudo's second musical appearance at the 40th Kouhaku Uta Gassen in 1989. Goto Maki would later cover the song on her second mini-album Gloria.
The song reached #1 on the weekly Oricon charts. It also reached #6 on the yearly Oricon charts of 1989. The single charted for twenty-one weeks and sold 607,000 units.
