"Doukoku" is the eighteenth single released by Kudo Shizuka. The title track was used as the theme song for the Fuji TV dorama Ano Hi ni Kaeritai. The single reached #1 on the Oricon charts and charted for fifteen weeks, selling 939,240 units. The single also #19 on the yearly Oricon charts for 1993. To date, this single is the best selling single for Kudo. The song was also performed at Kudo's sixth appearance at the annual Kouhaku Utagassen at the end of 1993.
