"New Animal" is the pillows's 29th single. It was released in two versions, a CD+DVD version and a CD only version. The cover art is a tribute to their 1997 single HYBRID RAINBOW. The single was released to commemorate their 20th anniversary. A book to commemorate was released as well, 14 days later, 20th Anniversary: History of the pillows "Hybrid Rainbow".
