During elementary school, Tachibana Mio won the Special Jury prize in the same audition her brother Keita had for Vision Factory, and in 2003 she became an exclusive model for Love Berry. She also began to take dance and vocal lessons in order to meet the level Keita was at. Her music debut began as part of Soran Happies with three other junior fashion magazine models; however, they released only one single.
Recently it seems Tachibana is trying to break away from the label of "Keita's younger sister" and has stopped claiming relations to him; although Keita mentions in blogs and interviews he has a younger sister, he does not reference her by name.
