Information
Katou Tarou debuted in 1995 as the guitarist of the rock/punk band FUNSIDE.
In December 2003, he joined as the guitarist of the disbanded group BEAT CRUSADERS, occasionally he also played the keyboard and become main vocalist. In 2006 while BEAT CRUSADERS was still active, he joined the now disbanded GALLOW, a "Neo Acoustic" band along fellow BEAT CRUSADERS member Hidaka Tooru.
Since BEAT CRUSADERS disbanded he plays the guitar for many different artists. Currently, he is a member, along fellow BEAT CRUSADERS members Mashiita and Kubota Masahiko, of the un-debuted band TOQUIO LEQUIO TEQUNOS (originally called RYUKYU CRUSADERS), which mixes rock and techno music, and the band Albarino.
Trivia
- During his BEAT CRUSADERS days, it was common to see him cosplaying Angus Young (AC/DC). He also used Young's most common guitar, the Gibson SG.
