Metis is a female Japanese reggae singer-songwriter and artist, currently signed to the label Universal Music Japan. She is known for her soulful voice and her single "Ume wa Saitaka Sakura wa Madakaina" released in 2007 under Nippon Crown records. She chose "Metis" as her stage name after the Greek goddess of wisdom. She splits her time between Japan and Paris with her husband.
