Revision as of 19:10, 5 February 2020
Nizi Project is a Japanese audition project produced by JYP Entertainment and Sony Music Japan. The name "Nizi" is taken from the Japanese word "Niji" (虹; Rainbow), with the project's mission to "create a group that emits beautiful light with various colors like a rainbow."
A reality show, originally to begin airing in October 2019 but was pushed back to January 2020, will feature a group of 20 selected Japanese trainees as they audition and train for six months to debut in JYP's new Japanese girl group. In April 2020, another program will follow the trainees leading up to their debut. The number of final members will be decided by JYP, with the final line-up set to be announced in April 2020 and their debut tentatively set for November 2020.
