RAM RIDER promoting PORTABLE DISCO (2005)

Influenced by various artists, such as YMO, EW&F and TM NETWORK, he created his own label, beginning his life as a DJ.

In 1999, he participated as a mixer for many artists including Hamasaki Ayumi and Suzuki Ami. By 2003, he chose to become a vocalist, and he began the RAM RIDER project. Though he finds himself giving music to artists such as Katase Nana and V6, he also finds time to hold concerts for himself.

On March 16, 2004, he started his own musical career with the single "MUSIC", under the indie label Rhythm REPUBLIC. The single ranked 1st place on the Shibuya Club charts and ranked 7th on the Oricon Indies charts. After some months, he released his second and last indie single "SWEET DANCE". For the first time one of his songs had a tie-in: "FEELS GONNA FEEL", the B-side song, was used as a S-Woman "PINKY" CM song. The single reached #119 on the Oricon chart, where it charted for three weeks; it ranked 1st place on the Shibuya Club charts and ranked 7th on the Oricon Indies chart. Also in 2004, RAM RIDER participated in the "COUNT DOWN JAPAN 04/05" as a DJ, held by "ROCKIN'ON" on New Year's Eve of 2004.

In June 2005, he made his major debut, under rhythm zone, with the single "Yume de Aeru yo" which was the opening theme to the TV program CDTV. By August 2005, he participated as a DJ at 2 big open air live shows "ROCK IN JAPAN FES 2005" and "SUMMER SONIC 2005". On November 30, he released his very debut album PORTABLE DISCO, which reached #52 on the Oricon charts.

On April 26, 2006, RAM RIDER made a remix album PORTABLE DISCO 8bit edition, a completely redone album in a full-on Nintendo sound explosion. Also in that year, RAM RIDER released his first double a-side single, "Tabi e Deyou / ANY COLORS". "ANY COLORS" was used as a Hoyu "Men's Beauteen" CM song.

In 2007, he only released a remix mini-album containing two new songs, Kimi ga Suki + REMIX TUNES. By 2008, RAM RIDER made his comeback with a vinyl single, "RAM RIDER EP", and a compilation album containing remixes from various artists, called space program "STAR" Compiled by RAM RIDER.
