Soshi (総史) is a Japanese pop, rock, and visual-kei vocalist and lyricist. He debuted into the music scene when he won in the Rock Boy category of JUNON's 18th "JUNON SUPERBOY CONTEST" in November of 2005. Soshi, then Kurei Soushi, was soon signed to Tsunku's production company TNX and indies label Good Factory Record. After staying with both companies for about a year, Soshi left in March of 2007. Sometime after his departure Soshi teamed up with Leo (ex-Megamasso support) to make the visual-kei duo Watashimeslug. The duo has been in an activity pause since late 2008.

The contest has been held every year since 1988, and is always sponsored by JUNON fashion magazine. The judges for the 18th contest were: actress Darvish Saeko, comedians Morisanchuu, TV producer Ochi Masato, and music producer Tsunku. Soshi was in the Rock Boy category, which was only in its second year. He won the grand prix prize singing GLAY's 1999 single "Winter,again".

The judge's special prize awards were given to future label-mate TAKERU, who had also went by his real name Mukaitsubo Takeru, and Kobayashi Gou. Six to seven months later Soshi signed with both Tsunku's production company TNX and indies label Good Factory Record with his first stage name of Kurei Soushi. He had his first live on June 4th, 2006 in Akihabara. His debut, the single "Wish ~Kimi wo Matenakute~", was released two months later on August 12th.

On August 3rd, 2006 Soshi was feautured in the Game Boy Advance rhythm game Rhythm Tengoku, where his debut song was contributed. The game was the last Game Boy Advance game to be developed by Nintendo. It was also never released internationally, while its sequel was.
