"Coma" is a rock song recorded by Seagull Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her. The beginning of the song has been described as "sound[ing] almost apathetic."[1] The first half of the songs sounds this way, with Higurashi reading off the lyrics in a very monotone voice, backed by distorted guitar noises. As the song reaches it's mid-point, the guitar melody starts to form. For the second half of the song, Higurashi repeats the same lyrics again, but this time she sings them and is backed by a full band.

The song is found on the band's third studio album 17, as track #1. The song has been noted for setting off the moody feel of the record.

Music Video

A shot from the music video

The music video for "Coma" is directed by Nakayama Emiko. The video starts out in greyscale with Higurashi Aiha sitting in front of the camera smoking a cigarette. As the rythmic guitar kicks in half way through the song, the video switches to color and features Higurashi in a red outfit playing her guitar. As the vocals kick in during the second part of the song, the whole band comes in view of the camera. As the video comes to an end the memebers start to disapear, starting with Karashima Takaharu, then Koyama Nao. This ends the video where it started with Higurashi by herself.

The music video is found on the band's VHS tape, Motorhead And Drive Video, as chapter #1.
