Information

"Defection" is the 11th single released by Chihara Minori. It was released simultaneously along with her 12th single, "KEY FOR LIFE". The two songs have an overall theme of returning to your origins, with the tracks described as opposites, featuring "Defection" as being the stylish side. The song features lyrics by iconic anison artist Okui Masami, and it was written and produced by Kikuta Daisuke from Elements Garden. Chihara first emailed Okui with her feelings, including her troubles and conflicts, and Okui wrote the lyrics from them to make the song personal for her.

The two singles were her lead-in promotion to her Live Tour 2011 -Key for Defection- which was held at the Zepp live houses nationwide from February 12th to May 8th.
