Ebihara Yuri first became interested in modeling during her college days, working a part-time job as a model for Fukuoka department store fliers. In April 2002 she moved to Tokyo to focus on her career, and was awarded the Grand Prix Award for her role in a Zespri Kiwi commercial opposite Sakaguchi Kenji.
Yuri later signed an exclusive contract with the fashion magazine CanCam in October 2002, and she began gaining popularity for her coordinating section "Ebichan OL" (Office Lady Ebichan) with Yamada Yu (called "Yu OL", or "Office Lady Yu"). The section was aimed for young women in college and working women.
In 2006 McDonald's in Japan made a shrimp burger called the "ebi filet" ("ebi" means "shrimp"), which Yuri promoted. It was meant to be a limited edition menu item but its popularity skyrocketed so much that it became a regular menu item.
On May 9th, 2010, Yuri announced her marriage to ILMARI of RIP SLYME and TERIYAKI BOYZ. She has stated she wants to continue working.
