Kalafina

Kalafina is a Japanese pop group founded by Kajiura Yuki to perform theme songs for the movie series Kara no Kyoukai -the Garden of sinners-. They first debuted with the single oblivious as duo formed by Keiko and Wakana from FictionJunction. The new vocalists, Hikaru and Maya were introduced in their second single, sprinter / ARIA. However, their next releases didn't feature Maya due to unknown reasons. Their debut album, Seventh Heaven brought an end to Kara no Kyoukai's tie-ins and their fourth single, Lacrimosa - Kuroshitsuji second ending theme, is a start of their new chapter because Kalafina will not be disbanded.

On May 7th, 2009, it was announced during "Musou no Rakuen" concert that Maya is a seasonal member for sprinter / ARIA single only and Kalafina will continue from now on with three members. A new single also was revealed along with the news, storia will be used as the theme song for NHK program "Rekishi Hiwa Historia" and was scheduled to be released on July 1st, 2009.
