Trivia
- Originally a third generation member of AKB48 and a founding member of Team B, a scandal in July 2008 led to Kikuchi being dismissed from the group. In November of the same year, she re-auditioned for AKB48's seventh generation and was able to rejoin as a member of Kenkyuusei. She was promoted to Team K on March 12, 2010. She was transferred to Team A during the AKB48 team shuffle in August 2012.
- Kikuchi's given name is written in kanji (「彩香」). However, she adopted the hiragana reading (「あやか」) as her stage name.
- Her hobbies include talking with the other members
- Came up with the idea of Noguchi Reina playing Jankenpon each time she introduces herself at a performance.
- Loves seasoned seaweed and shaved ice
