- Participated in Doll's Vox in 2005 before becoming a second generation member of AKB48 and a founding member of Team K in 2006. She became the captain of Team K during AKB48's team shuffle in August 2012, and was succeeded by Yokoyama Yui at the AKB48 Grand Shuffle in February 2014.
- She announced her graduation from AKB48 during the group's performance at the 2013 Kouhaku Uta Gassen. Her graduation concert was celebrated on June 8, 2014 at Ajinomoto Stadium and her final performance at the AKB48 Theater took place the next day.
