May J. is a Japanese urban pop artist that debuted in the summer of 2006. When she debuted she was signed onto the Sony Music Japan label, and she is currently signed under the avex trax sub-label, rhythm zone. She's currently co-hosting the NHK World's all-English weekly music show, J-MELO.
