Profile

History

Kubota Nanami was at some point signed with talent agency Production I in 2015. She joined the idol group Onigo Musume on February 12, 2016. Sometime later the same year she became a member of the group Negaigoto, until her graduation on July 6, 2017. Over the summer of 2017 she participated in the "Hello! Project Shin Member Audition" and became a finalist. When it was announced that no winners would be chosen from the audition, she and several other finalists accepted an invitation to join Hello Pro Kenshuusei. They made their first live appearance and were officially introduced at the "Hello! Project Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2017 12gatsu ~Conti→New!~" concert on December 10, 2017.

Kubota was announced as one of the first five members from Hello Pro Kenshuusei and Hello Pro Kenshuusei Hokkaido to be assigned to the new rotational training Hello Pro Kenshuusei Unit on July 11, 2019. The following year on July 26, 2020 Kubota received the Singing Award for her performance of former Morning Musume member Mitsui Aika's solo "Watashi no Miryoku ni Kizukanai Donkan na Hito", at the "Hello! Project Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2020 ~Natsu no Koukai Jitsuryoku Shindan Test~" event.

On March 7, 2021, Fukumura Mizuki, current leader of Morning Musume and Hello! Project, made a surprise appearance at the end of the "Hello! Project Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2021 3gatsu ~Yell~", where she announced that the members of the Hello Pro Kenshuusei Unit would debut in a new Hello! Project group forming in 2021, with the possibility of more members being added later. The final 10 member lineup and name of the new group, OCHA NORMA, was revealed on December 12, 2021. Activities would begin with the Hello! Project 2022 Winter ~LOVE & PEACE~ concert tour starting January 2, 2022.
