Round 2: Deathmatch

The second round is a deathmatch competition. Units compete against each other using one of three HYBE group debut songs. Contestants were split into group using the previous round's placement levels, and were then split into two units per group: unit A and unit B. The top two contestants were selected via judges, and those contestants became the leaders of each unit and got to choose their members. Each unit, starting with the lowest, then got to select which song they wanted to perform with each song having two spaces available–the catch being that higher groups would be able to push them aside to take song.
