Heisei Ishin (平成維新; Heisei Restoration) is a five member indies Japanese rock band from Osaka in the visual-kei scene. They formed in June of 2008 under the label UNDER CODE PRODUCTION. Like many bands from that label, Heisei Ishin has adopted a band concept of SECOND CULTURE. Their music has a sound of rock, with pop and electronic influences.

In July of 2010 it was announced that Heisei Ishin would withdraw from UNDER CODE on September 30th after their graduation event titled "ENDLESS VOYAGE" on September 28th at Osaka BIG CAT.[1] To commemorate the graduation, a best of album titled REVOLUTIONS was released on September 15th. On November 30th it was announced through YUKKIE's blog that they will be disbanding after their performance at UNDER CODE's new year count down event at Tokyo Kinema Club on December 31st.[2]

However, before the group disbanded, it was revealed through each member's blogs that vocalist Taku had died on December 10th. No explanation as to why has been given.[3] Due to his sudden passing, Heisei Ishin's last live was cancelled. It was rescheduled and performed during Taku's flower offering ceremony on February 1st, 2011.[4]
