Gokusen
ごくせん (Romaji: Gokusen; English: Gangland Teacher) is a Japanese manga, dorama, and anime featuring Yamaguchi Kumiko, the granddaughter of a yakuza boss, as a teacher of the delinquent filled class 3-D at Shirokin Gakuen, an all boys private high school. Gokusen is often compared to Great Teacher Onizuka.
Manga
Gokusen was created by Morimoto Kozueko and is serialized in the female oriented You Comics.
Dorama
The dorama version of Gokusen airs on the Nippon Television Network. The first season aired from 2002-04-17 to 2002-07-03, with a special Gokusen Special: Sayonara 3-nen D-gumi airing in 2003. The ending theme was "Feel Your Breeze" by V6. A second season also aired with very high ratings. It's ending theme was "NO MORE CRY" by D-51.
