H-Logic is Lee Hyori's fourth album. Originally it was scheduled to be released on April 8, but one day before it was announced a delay to the 13th. The cause of the delay was the cancellation of various music shows for that week in response of the sinking of the Korean Navy ship ROKS Cheonan (PCC-772). Although the music video of "Geune" was released at the end of March, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" was used as first single to promote the album.
Controversy
The album has been heavily accused of plagiarism. Six of seven tracks credited to lyricist Bahnus, had been accused of been clearly plagiarized from Western artists songs, these being:
- I’m Back - Lil Precious's So Insane
- Feel The Same - Melanie Durrant's Feel the Same
- Bring It Back - Cookie Couture's Boy, Bring it Back
- Geune (그네) - Georgia Murray's 'We'll Never Know' that samples Mikis Theodorakis's 'The Train Leaves At Eight'.
- How Did We Get - Jason Derülo's ft. Auburn, How Did We Get (which samples Annie Lennox's No More I Love You's)
- MEMORY - Second Person's The Alphabet Song
In Cookie Couture's case, the song was confirmed to be plagiarized by the group and through their official MySpace on April 23, they stated that their lawyers were working on the case.
On April 25, M.Net Media stated that the songs that were accused of been plagiarized are actually demo songs that lyricist Bahnus composed and sent to various record labels while he was in England.
