I've Sound is a Japanese songwriting and music production team based in Sapporo, Hokkaido.

Information

The entity colloquially know as I've Sound has used several names and several variations of the I've name since it's inception in 1999.

I've originally specialised in sound tracks (background music) and theme songs for video games. In particular, I've has been closely associated with the eroge video game genre. During the early years (2000-2004) I've established a reputation for excellence and achieved a high degree of cult success. Founded by Takase Kazuya and Ipposhi Yasutaka, the objective was to combine a music production business with an indpendent record label. The company is usually referred to as I've/Fuctory. A very successful series of compilation albums featuring I've vocal works has been issued by Fuctory Records under the name I've Girls Compilation.

In 2005 the success achieved by I've led to a restructuring of the business and a tie-up with major record label Geneon Entertainment. During the period 2005-2008 the co-operation between I've and Geneon produced a string of successful singles and albums with I've vocalists regularly achieving high profile chart success. Early in 2009 the ownership of Geneon changed hands. Universal Pictures acquired a majority stake in Geneon and renamed the company Geneon Universal. The consequences of this change eventually led I've to re-evaluate their relationship with Geneon. During 2011 I've wound down their co-operation with Geneon and began forging new alliances with other record labels.
