After the release of four singles she was dropped from the label. LISA then started working as a part time vocalist for the group Ram Jam World.
In 1999, LISA rose to fame as the vocalist of the Japanese hip-hop group, m-flo, alongside VERBAL and Takahashi Taku. The group formed in 1999 and quickly entered the Oricon Top 10 with their debut single the tripod e.p. m-flo's popularity increased until LISA decided to leave in 2002 to pursue a solo career. LISA's m-flo fanbase, however, decreased after leaving the group. LISA has collaborated with many artists since leaving m-flo, such as Koda Kumi, Heartsdales, and JHETT aka YAKKO for AQUARIUS.
