"the WORLD / Alumina" is the eleventh single released by Nightmare. It was released in four versions: two CD+DVD editions (the WORLD & Alumina), a CD only Death Note edition, and a regular CD Only edition. "the WORLD" was used as the opening theme for the anime Death Note while "Alumina" was used as its ending theme.
