5dolls promoting Club Remix Time to Play (2011)

5dolls is the first subgroup from mixed group Coed School. On December 27, 2010, Core Contents Media announced that 5dolls would be composed of Coed School's all four original female members, and that an additional female member would be added to the unit. The new member was revealed to be Eungyo, a middle school student.

Their debut digital single, "Ipsul Jaguk", was released in February 11 and it's music video featured former 2PM member Jay Park. Only five days after the release of the digital single, a mini-album was also released. The mini-album included the single "Ipsul Jaguk" plus four new songs.

In February 2012, it was announced that Soomi left the group and was replaced by new member Na Yeon.

In September 2012, rumors arouse stating that both Chanmi and Hyoyoung had left the group, however although GM Contents Media did not confirmed the news, their official website not longer listed Chanmi and instead featured Shannon as a new member. Six months later Chanmi confirmed the rumor, and only two days later the agency announced the final line-up, including one new member Jihyun, and their 2013 comeback.

They announced their official comeback in July with more line-up changes, finalizing to the addition of two new members, Seunghee and The Seeya's Yeonkyung. Shannon and Jihyun are not included in the final line-up. Following Core Contents Media becoming MBK Entertainment in 2014, the group was rumoured to be disbanded, but they did not make a statement until March 10, 2015.
