"FUNKY FLUSHIN' / NOT ONE OF US" is the fifth single (fourth major label single) released by Nakazawa Mayu. "FUNKY FLUSHIN'", is a cover of 1979 song of the same name by Yamashita Tatsuro and released on his MOON GLOW album. "NOT ONE OF US" is an original track written and composed by Nakazawa.
This single was the lead-in release to Nakazawa's debut studio album, STEP INTO MY HEART, which was released two weeks later. Not long after the release of the album Nakazawa was dropped by her label Universal Music Japan, making this her last single with the major label. Like all of her other major label releases, this single was produced by Kadokura Satoshi.
The single did not chart on the Oricon weekly charts.
