Information

"Tobiuo no Butterfly / Sekai ga Owaru Yoru ni" is the eighth single (fifth major label single) released by chatmonchy, and it's the band's first double a-side. The music video for "Tobiuo no Butterfly" was released to promote the single before it's release, and then an animated music video was released for "Sekai ga Owaru Yoru ni" after the single was released.

"Tobiuo no Butterfly" has been described as a good summer song thats sound is a "new phase" for the band. The second a-side, "Sekai ga Owaru Yoru ni" was used as the subject song to the movie Funuke Domo, Kanashimi no Ai wo Misero and is a cover of the Motoya Yukiko song of the same name. The b-side, "Kaze" has been called a psychedelic acoustic number.

The single reached #9 on the weekly Oricon chart, and stayed on the chart for a total of seven weeks.
