She is the 4th generation of the Samsung family and the 3rd generation of the Shinsegae Group owner family, which ranks 11th in the business world. She is the granddaughter of Lee Myunghee, the chairman of Shinsegae Group and daughter of Samsung founder Lee Byungchul. She is the eldest daughter of her daughter, Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yukyung, and the niece of Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yongjin.
She is close friends with many celebrities and associates from YG Entertainment and THEBLACKLABEL. She is known to be close with BIGBANG's G-DRAGON, 2NE1's CL, BLACKPINK, Jeon Somi, and Lee Jung.
