solaya is a Japanese composer and arranger affiliated with Sony Music Publishing.

Information

solaya was born in Osaka but grew up in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. He studied piano from a very young age and started to compose and play guitar in junior school. Afer his graduation in 2002, solaya passed a composition audition and began to work as a composer for Sony Music Publishing. Nowadays, he also supports recordings and live performances of other artists as a guitarist.

solaya is known for his composition for other popular artists (mostly under Sony Music Entertainment Japan) such as Crystal Kay, Sowelu, Atari Kousuke and Sakamoto Maaya. "Tooi Koi no Monogatari, a collaboration between Tominaga Yuusuke and him was featured as a theme song from December 2008 to January 2009 for NHK's Minna no Uta.
