"Soba ni Iru ne" is the debut single released by Aoyama Thelma. The main track is a answer to SoulJa's Koko ni Iru yo, and it was used as the Start! DoCoMo CM, while the b-side "My dear friend" was used as the ending theme to anime Shion no Ou and the opening to television show Ryuuha-R. The original song and the answer, are both similar, but "Soba ni Iru" proved to be more popular than SoulJa's version by reaching #1 on Oricon charts in it second week. As the single sold 464,835 copies in 2008 during its 46 weeks chart run, it was the 7th best selling single in 2008. In total, it sold 465,186 copies.
