"Mermaid" is a song recorded by daoko as one of her covers on Nico Nico Douga. She recorded it as a rap-style cover of the song. It was a song created/produced originally by Vocaloid producer Mermaid-P.
The title of the original video upload was "Mermaid Utattemita *Chobitto rap Shite Mita" (マーメイド うたってみた *ちょびっとラップしてみた; Mermaid Cover Song *I tried to rap a little). The description said simply, "Warning, I'm not good at Vocaloid arrangements". She also thanked the original song creator for the chorus lyrics.
