Team Kaigai
Team Kaigai is a AKB48 special Team for the Study Abroad Program members. They are temporary members of a international sister group (Currently only JKT48).

Information
The first transfers were announced at the Tokyo Dome Team Shuffle, on August 24, 2012. On April 28, 2013, three of the Team Kaigai members returned to AKB48 and began to hold a Concurrent Position (Kennin). Nakagawa Haruka, however, remained a JKT48 member only. On June 2013, Miyazawa Sae announced at the 5th Senbatsu Sousenkyo that she will only be a SNH48 member, cancelling her concurrent position on AKB48 Team K. The second transfers were announced at the AKB48 Group Daisokaku Matsuri. Miyazawa Sae has a Concurrent Position on SKE48 Team S, Chikano Rina was transferred to JKT48 Team KIII and Takajo Aki had her kaigai position cancelled, and she returned permanently to AKB48, becoming a member of Team B. In December 2015, Miyazawa Sae announced her graduation of the both groups.
