Murata Yuu participated in the Hello! Project 25th Anniversary audition in the latter half of 2023. She was revealed to be one of three new Tsubaki Factory members in an episode of "Hello! Station" on February 7, 2024. She made her first live appearance and was officially introduced at the "Hello! Project 2024 Winter ~THREE OF US~" concert on February 11th.
